Welcome to Zion National Park , a destination that is unequaled in natural beauty and is central to the world's highest concentration of natural scenic wonders. Scenic Highway 9 which passes through the park also connects Interstate 15 (west) and Scenic highway 89 (east). Click here to view area maps. On this thoroughfare are the gateway communities of Zion Mountain at the east gate and Springdale at the west gate. For park visitors Zion Mountain offers an experience that is closer to what you would expect while visiting a national park. At 6,000 feet in elevation and at the top of the park, Zion Mountain offers cooler summer temperatures and several different lodging options, along with dining, horseback riding and two gift-shops. At a lower elevation Springdale has much warmer summer temperatures but offers more lodging, dining and shopping options. The menu bar on this page provides information on the following areas: |
